Obviously like anything any skill it is best to learn from a young age, but it’s never to late to start Martial Arts. It has been known in the Martial Arts world for the age difference between beginners to span from 4 to 75 year old! Whatever your age or level of fitness, you can start where you are. As the famous saying goes: You have nothing to lose!
It is very important that Martial Arts is kept age-specific, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves in the correct environment. EMAC offers a wide range of age-specific courses, as well as Basic and Advanced programmes for every age, making you feel truly comfortable in your class. We even run Ladies Only classes as well as mixed classes..

There are hundreds of different Martial Arts styles and that alone is something people often find it hard to get to grips with. The truth is that no one system is better than all the others. Each style has its own advantages and disadvantages, and evolved in response to its unique cultural origins.
At EMAC we pride ourselves on finding the right balance of fitness, fun and practical application in our classes. As you advance through your Martial Aarts training you will find more avenues open in your training, keeping it fresh and stimulating. You will learn new techniques, make clear progress and meet new challenges in an encouraging environment.
Our 40 minute Introductory classes are the ideal way for someone to get back into exercise, let alone a Martial Arts class. Giving the newcomer an introduction to Martial Arts in a relaxed environment and working to the individual's capability. The class includes a warm-up and stretch, followed by a few basic techniques.
Remember that all of our classes are broken up into beginner and advanced, so whatever your level you will find our classes to be fun, invigorating and exactly what you are looking for!
Once you have completed your first class, you will then speak to an Instructor to see how you would like to progress in your Martial Arts training and also about which of our courses would best suit you. We will then help you goal set on what you would like to get out of your training giving your Martial Arts programme that personal touch.
All of our Instructors are fully qualified and very friendly, so there is no need to feel nervous or embarrassed and certainly no reason to be scared. All of our Beginners classes are non-contact.
